Fitness for Life

About me

AbFitTraining was started by me,  Abbie Feibush in 2012.  I can't remember a time when being active wasn't part of my life.   As a baby I preferred crawling to walking because I could get from one spot to another faster by crawling!

I grew up in New Jersey and regardless of what season it was I was always involved in sports. I played soccer, softball, basketball, winter track, volleyball and tackle football in the snow with my older brother and his friends.  In college, I always opted to take a physical education credit and played club lacrosse.

Two years after college, a job in advertising sales brought me to San Francisco. I arrived here with my dog Calvin who I would run with on a daily basis.  I wish I could say his legs would tire before mine, but sadly that was not the case.  I decided to join a marathon running group to meet new people and to keep up with Calvin! I raced 3 marathons with that group and decided to tackle a new challenge, triathlon!

I trained for months leading up to that sprint distance triathlon and was terrified at the starting line.  I finished the race with a huge grin on my face and was hooked!  I started getting into longer distances and have now completed 7 full Ironman races, 5 half Ironman distance races and countless other triathlon distances.

As I progressed into longer distance triathlons I started reading more about nutrition and strength training to learn how to perform better.  At this point I was unhappy in my career and decided to pursue my passion for health and fitness. I apprenticed at a local gym while studying to become a personal trainer.  I completed the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) program and a Senior Fitness Specialization since fitness is not a 3-month program but a lifelong commitment.

I  launched AbFitTraining in 2012 and now I can share my knowledge and passion for health and fitness with my clients!  There is no greater feeling than seeing clients achieve their goals!  What are your goals?  Contact me and lets achieve them together!

Cheers to a healthier you!
